Thoughts

You know humans are the only beings on earth with creative capabilities.
There are a million smart dogs in the world but I have yet to hear of any capturing their own antics on camera and submitting it to “YouTube”.
Humans are the only ones with the ability to create, with the ability to improve the world. Humans have created everything on this earth (everything that was not previously created by God, of course).
But everything else started out as just pure potentiality. Everything started in someone’s imagination, just a figment in somebody’s mind.
All of the great books, the magnificent paintings, airplanes and telephones, computers and skyscrapers, it all began in someone’s imagination.
It’s pretty amazing when you think about it.
We’re all creative energy and everything begins with a thought. Our thoughts, our minds and our souls are the connecting link to the Universal creative energy. Everything begins as a thought.
Leonardo da Vinci had a thought to paint the Mona Lisa. Claude Monet had thoughts of painting beautiful gardens. Wassily Kandinsky had thoughts of creating some of the first modern abstract works. Grandma Moses thought of the lovely farmhouses and rural life from the area where she lived and created her folk art.
Many people had thoughts about finding a vaccine for polio. In 1952, Jonas Salk succeeded. Polio, a crippling disease that used to affect hundreds of thousands every single year has essentially been eradicated. It started with a thought, a desire to rid the world of a heart-breaking affliction.
There are scientists right now working on cures for various diseases. With continued persistence, at some point they will succeed, because it all starts with a thought.
Stephen King and Steven Speilberg aspired to scare us and entertain us. They have both succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.
Today there are artists working on their masterpieces that will give the world more beauty.
Today there are authors weaving their words that will inspire, entertain or inform the world.
Today there are movies being made and cartoons being drawn, songs being written and designs being crafted.
There are important breakthroughs and entertaining concepts, silly videos and interesting blogs. And everything has its value. It all contributes to the magnificence of the world.
There is magic being created everyday in the world.
What are you using your creative capabilities for?

Creative ability is a gift we all possess. The real question is: how much are you going to use it?
