Faith in the Process
By karen | March 20, 2007
One of the most difficult concepts of the Law of Attraction is to let go and leave the “how it will happen” up to the Universe.
What we really want is often much less specific than it is an essence. You don’t really want millions of pieces of green paper with dead dignitary’s faces on it, or this exact career in this exact order, or this specific person for this perfect relationship. What you really want is the “Essence” of what you feel you will have with what it is that you want, the feelings of what you think it will give you.
Haven’t you experienced wanting something very specific and then something even better than what you thought you wanted came along?
It happens often with relationships, Garth Brooks eloquently expressed that very thing in his song “Unanswered Prayers”. It happens with jobs, businesses and even with material things like houses and cars, really everything. It’s when you think you want an exact something and you get something else and you realize that you got what you really wanted all along, which is always the essence and not really the specific.
There is a saying “don’t be attached to the outcome”. That advice is easy to struggle against. How can you not be attached to the outcome? Especially if you are like many and you tend to plan everything exactly and specifically, down to the last detail. It’s easy to feel disappointed when it doesn’t quite work out like the vision. But when you let go and you let whatever is going to happen, happen, you then allow the good things to come into your life. You get what you want and boot. It’s even better than you imagined. The Universe knows the best way to manifest the dream. You can’t always see the big picture. Trying to force it to be “your way” holds you back. “Letting go” is part of the process.
It’s a process of surrender. It’s a process of Faith. It’s that old saying, “Let Go and Let God”. It’s not an easy thing to do.
But it is a crucial part of the process of manifesting the life you want.

[…] Last week I sent out the article “Faith in the Process” to the Live the Power email list. I often receive wonderful emails back when I send something out to the list but this time I received more than usual. It seems that many people struggle with the concept of “Letting go”. I struggle with it myself. But as I look back on my life and some of the most incredible things that I have created I realize that it usually happened after I stopped holding on so tight, let go of the reins a little bit and let it happen. In my life it seems that I have never been able to force things to happen but I have always been able to create what I wanted when I just let things happen. Of course that is not always an easy thing to do. […]
