The Path

By karen | April 19, 2007

There are a million ways to create success, a million ways to get rich, a million ways to fame, a million ways to find a soul mate, a million ways to create the life of your dreams.

But they won’t all work for you. They won’t all work for me.

Oftentimes we hear of someone else’s success and the feelings of jealousy and envy arise. If they can have it why can’t we? And often we will see what they have done and we will consider modeling their processes and behavior to create the same results. But our feelings while we are trying to model their success is “Well if I have to do it this way, I will but I sure hate this!” or “Okay, I’ll do that if it’s that’s the only way to get what I want”.

I’ve been there. Haven’t you?

And the fact of the matter is that you are really just jealous of their results. The process that they used to create those results is not what you want at all. Yet as you are trying to model their success, you are not modeling their results you are modeling their process. And then you wonder why it doesn’t work the same for you.

There is a path designed especially for you that will lead you directly to your goals and dreams. You even have a built-in navigation system to give you directions. It’s called your emotional guidance system and we all came equipped with this option, no extra charge. We just need to learn how to use it effectively.

Your emotional guidance system can and will guide you and let you know if you are on the right track. But you need to take counsel from it. You need to trust yourself and your own instincts. You need to get to the place where you can feel the distinction between the feeling inside that is telling you “No, this is the wrong decision don’t do it” and the feeling inside that is the apprehension of “This is uncharted territory, I feel some fear but it is still the right decision”.

If you are thinking “Well I’ll do that if it’s the only way” or “I hate doing this but I don’t know how else to do it” or any of the other bazillion versions thereof you’re on the wrong path. When you are following your own bliss, when you are receiving in ways that are compatible with your true self, it feels good. It feels right. It feels as if your life is flowing because it is. You are not resisting the flow of life but you are sailing smooth with the current. The Universe is rearranging itself and conspiring with you to make your dreams happen.

Life is not supposed to be a struggle. Never has been. Never will be. We make it a struggle when we attempt to do things and accomplish things that are not within our true nature.

If you want to create the ultimate success for you it will be done your way, the way that is compatible with you, the way that feels good, on your path that was designed just for you. You don’t have to “feel the fear and do it anyway”. You need to analyze the guidance from your own inner being.

Maybe the answer is to “do it anyway”. Maybe it’s not.

Only you can answer that question.

Great Post Karen!!! Doesn’t it seem like The Path that is best for us ends up being the one of least resistance? I picture myself floating down a stream. Sometimes there might be some turbulence or I might hit a whirlpool but when you just “go with the flow” it all comes up roses in the end!!

    Stay Positive!

Yes, we have all been there. At least I know for sure that I have. I now know that this is a world of abundance, and we all can have our own piece of the pie.
