Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
By Mohammed | October 3, 2006I found a new and current favorite motivational book yesterday. I know I have read it before but I did not see the inspiration inside of it before. It was an unexpected surprise!
“Oh, the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss. It starts out “Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!” and it follow the Hero’s travels to Success.
The ups–”Wherever you fly, you’ll be best of the best. Wherever yo go, you will top all the rest”,
and the downs “I’m sorry to say so but, sadly, it’s true that Bang-ups and Hang-ups can happen to you.”
It goes on to say that you will have some confusion and fears but “On and on you will hike And I know you’ll hike far and face up to your problems whatever they are”
so as you go on your journey “Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a great balancing Act”
but in the end “And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 3/4 % guaranteed.)”
“Today is your Day! Your mountain is waiting. So…get on your way!”
Wow, I think the good Dr. Seuss was writing for grown-ups and children alike!

It is awesome that personal development often comes in the form of childrens books.
