Intuition

By Mohammed | November 4, 2006

I have learned again of the value of always following my intuition.  I don’t know why I don’t just trust it absolutely every time but I still slip once in awhile.

This past week my intuition gave me an extreme negative reaction to taking a certain action to promote the 1,000,000 success thoughts project.  The reaction I had was very surprising because the negative feelings were so strong.  My intuitions usually whisper to me, they rarely yell at me.  I really thought that perhaps I had overreacted, perhaps I was being unreasonably fearful.  After all the thing I planned to do was a small thing, not really anything to get too worked up about.  So I gradually just did it in a small way and tried it. Then as I got braver I went all out and I did it in a big way.  I overrode my intuition thinking I was being unreasonable rather than knowing I was being intuitive and that I shouldn’t do it.

Well, it turned out worse than I thought it possibly could in worst case scenario.  My heart was hurt and my feelings were hurt and the tears flowed freely for awhile as I sobbed it out.  But I learned a valuable lesson about spending my time and energy as well as another confirmation lesson to always, always, always follow my own intuition.  It has never failed me or let me down when I have followed it, and it is always a mistake when I override it.  I know this. I’ve known this for a long, long time.  Yet I still sometimes doubt my own intuitions.  Why?

Our intuitions are a wonderful and amazing gift.  We need honor and be grateful for it.  I’m making a promise to myself to do this from now on.  I hope I never slip up on that one again!

I think intuition is the universes way of warning us through energy.
