Now Hear this….
By Mohammed | February 8, 2007The other day I was driving home from the gym, listening to my favorite country station (yeah, I’m a big country music fan) and this song comes on the radio and I start bawlin’ my eyes out right then and there. Now most country music is not the “cry in your beer” stuff anymore but this song was a killer. The song was something about how “Alisa lied” to all her friends about child abuse. Yes it hurt my heart and since I was feeling a little “blue” as is (yeah, I hate to admit that but it happens to me) The tears just rolled down my face. I don’t even want to hear that song again.
But another song brought tears to my eyes recently and this time it was because I loved the song. One of my new friends in the Blogosphere, Christine Kane writes an amazing blog. She is wise and talented and communicates with absolute elegance. And it turns out her talents are not only limited to writing but she is also a musician and songwriter. So if you click here you can hear her song “Right Outta Nowhere”. It’s worth it. You’ll love it. I did.
This one I want to hear again!

Wow. what a great thing to wake up and read. Thank you so much for your kind words and for sending your readers over! (I cry all the time in my car when a good song comes on. Sometimes it’s not even the sentiment of the song…it’s just that the song is SO good and well written. Then again, sometimes it’s just the overall beauty.) Thanks again!

[...] – Some mornings I wake up to find that other bloggers have written about my music. Here’s a post from just this morning from Karen Lynch at Live The Power. Though performers and songwriters will often say, “I do it for the self-satisfaction of creating beauty,” that’s only partly true. (Some would say it’s a big fat lie!) We like applause. What other job can you find where people clap when you show up for work? We just LOVE this. And those blog posts are like little applauses. (Reason number one still applies, but it doesn’t mean I don’t love a little appreciation and reward as well! I’m not an enlightened master or anything!) [...]
