A Love Story and the Law of Attraction
By karen | April 26, 2007The Law of Attraction is always working, always. Whether you are conscious of it or not it works every time. Think back on your life. Think about what has happened in your life. If you look you can see how the Law of Attraction brought the circumstances and changes to you as you lived.
These days I am very conscious of the Law of Attraction and I deliberately use this knowledge to create my life. But my awareness and my comprehension have grown exponentially in the past few years. I didn’t always comprehend the fact that you can actually use it deliberately.
As I look back on my life now though I can see where it worked when I wasn’t even deliberately trying. It worked; just like it always works and I didn’t even consciously try to make anything happen. The flow of Life brought me my dreams. My love story came true without any deliberation on my part. The Law of Attraction just brought it to me. Effortlessly.
We all have defining moments in our lives, moments when the contrast of what we don’t have creates the huge rockets of desire for what we truly want. In about the year 1990 or 1991, I had a defining moment that I always remember.
One day I met an older woman. She was visiting from another state and she was here to help her daughter plan her wedding. I can remember clearly just like it was yesterday this woman said to me “I think she loves this man so much she would live with him in a tent”. Of course she was referring to her daughter and the fiancée. I’m sure that she just said it in passing and it was just a simple comment to her but it affected me deep in my soul. I thought “how would it be to love someone so much that you would live with them in a tent?” At the time I was a single mom. I was busy making a living and raising a son and dating was definitely not on my list of “things to do”. It seemed more of a chore than something fun and worthwhile so I didn’t. I just didn’t.
But that offhand comment struck me. I knew that was what I wanted, to actually find someone that I loved so much that a tent would be a happy place to live just so I could live with him. I wasn’t sure I believed in Love like that but I wanted it anyway. So the desire to find someone that I loved that much just naturally became part of my daydreams and visualizations.
Well in early 1992 I met Kevin. I was scared. He was beautiful. He was incredibly handsome. I was absolutely intimidated. But the connection was immediate and strong the first time we talked. We talked and we laughed and all fear went away. I felt safe and happy. We’ve been together ever since. He is the best friend I ever had, the love of my life. He is my soul mate. He is the man that I love so much that I would “live with him in a tent”. The fact that he would never want to live in a tent makes me love him all the more! I wouldn’t really want to live in a tent either.
Fifteen years, 3 children (in addition to the 2 we already had!), with all of the ups and downs and challenges of life, I can’t imagine wanting to share my life with anyone else. Kevin is still the man that I love so much I would live with him in a tent.
As I look back I see that the Law of Attraction brought me more than I even dreamed of at the time. I am blessed beyond measure in many, many ways.
It works. It works every time.
My Love Story proves it (to me at least!).

Thank you for sharing your life stories on your wonderful and inspirational blog. I found it when I started a personal Law of Attraction blog to share my take on it, and did a search for other folks experiencing or experimenting with it.
Had the thought to create a network of ‘Net-work with other bloggers out there sharing their free LOA understanding, energy, and inspiration.
When I started delving into the LOA, I found a free site called Karma Exchange during the process. (Or it found me.) From the KE site; “An exchange where the only commodity is good action and where the sole currency is good intention. The Karma Exchange is fueled by Karma Tokens created by the good actions of those who initially send them. Each Karma Token is sent from user to user carrying with it the fingerprint of each user who has touched or been touched by the goodness of each transaction.”
Love it! Hope to see you there! I put the link to Karma Exchange on my webplace.

It’s so great to hear real life stories like this - both from the point of view of people actually living “happy ever after” AND a real life “case study” of how harnnessing the law of attration with visualization can bring you what you want!

Thanks Joy! I’m glad you enjoyed it! And you reminded me that I am grateful that I am living “happily ever after”!

[...] But I still wanted this great relationship. I wanted to be married. I wanted a family. It was a process throughout the whole time I was single but I was launching big rockets of desire for what I wanted. One of the things I wanted was to find someone who I loved so much that I would live with him in a tent. (I wrote about that previously at A Love Story and the Law of Attraction). [...]

I couldn’t agree with you more. Part of optimizing how well the law of attraction works is being able to love ourselves first before we can properly use the LOA to have a great relationship and taking a closer look at what is programmed into our subconscious mind. I wrote a bit about it if anyone wants to check it out:
