Joy Links-4/21/07

By Mohammed | April 21, 2007

I’m in the mood to share some happy energy. Many bloggers that I know have done some type of Link Love where they direct their readers to other blogs with inspiring, happy or interesting reading. So since I have all this happy energy inside and I want to share I thought it would be a fun experiment to follow their lead.

So I have chosen 7 joyous links to share today. 7 posts from other blogs that touched me in some way, either made me laugh or made me think or made me ponder, 7 posts to share the happy energy!

1. What I learned at the Taco Shack. I loved this post when I first read it. Cardin Lily Routh (is that not a beautiful name?) did an amazing job of taking me with her to the Taco Shack and seeing the joy in this child. It is so true. Children can teach us so much about finding joy in the little things. This I know firsthand.

2. This next post is for parents. Since I have children ranging in age from almost 2 to almost 24 I definitely qualify. There are many sweet and wonderful moments that happen everyday with my children. They grow up and they change everyday so it is the small, wondrous moments that I want to remember forever. Karen Shanley is an amazing writer and she often writes of the wonderful relationship she has with her daughter. Her post about “Best Friends” touched my heart. There’s also that naturally curly hair thing (yep, all those crazy curls all over my head are natural!) must have felt a kinship!

3. Have you ever noticed ….

“Life is Like a Mirror.
Smile at it and it smiles back at you”
Peace Pilgrim-

This week I found a wonderful story that illustrates this profound truth. It made me laugh and it made me smile. You can read “The World reflects your Attitude” at Law of Attraction Simplified.com.

4. I meet new friends online all the time. The Internet is really quite the social gathering. One of my new friends, Andy, just learned of the Law of Attraction 6 weeks ago when “the Secret” was featured on Oprah. I’m happy and excited for him. You can read about his journey so far at The Daily Positive.com.

5. My mind has been on releasing resistance and going with the flow lately. There are some changes going on in my personal life that I wasn’t sure I was ready for. But sometimes life says “ready or not”.
So I particularly enjoyed the line from this post that said “Water doesn’t think, it flows”. You can read “There is always a Way” from my friend Alan at Made to be Great.com.

6. Life happens. Stuff happens. That other word that starts with an S happens! It happens to all of us. But as many wise people have pointed out, we have a choice of how to react.

“Man is not disturbed by things,
but by his opinion of things.
–Epictetus-

Post #6 gives some good advice for when the emotional storms happen. “Are you Emotionally Weatherproof?” can be found at Living By Design

7. Spring is here and where I live it is very unpredictable. It can go from warm, sunny and wonderful to cold, rainy and snowy in what seems to be an instant. But my favorite trail calls to me on those sunny days. The best walks are the ones where I am fully present, breathing in the moment and enjoying the beauty all around me. Christine Kane has given us a process to get back to ourselves and shift from mind chatter to a peaceful and joyful journey. You can read “Take a Walk in your Heart” at Christine Kane’s Blog.

And there you have it, the Joylinks for today- April 21, 2007. I hope you enjoy them as much I enjoyed them.

    Karen!

Yay! I wasn’t going to do internet/email/blogging stuff today, but I had this funny little pull to check my email, and there was the pingback from you. How awesome!

Thank you so much for your kind words about my Taco Shack story–I knew, the moment I walked in the door after returning from the “shack” that day that I was going to do the story, and I knew it was going to be “one of those things” I could just feel all that energy flowing through me. I guess I need to thank the girl too!

So, much appreciation for this, plus thanks for sharing these other great sounding posts and resources. In general, thanks for sharing the love!

No pingback notice here, just going through my google reader list and reading as usual. As I’m always looking for happy posts to read, I started at the top of the list and made my way down to find–one of my posts! What a wonderful surprise. Thanks so much for the love!

I loved your Joy Links, what a wonderful idea. I can’t wait until others enjoy it also.
I’m playing a cyber tag game that can help our PR rankings. Blogging is fun and can be profitable and it’s always good to have a good PR ranking so to help us I’ve tagged you in a virtual Tag game which you can see HERE:http://www.blogsire.com/myblog/?p=151

It should help our rankings and could be fun, so consider yourself tagged.
