Joy Links-August 25, 2007
By Mohammed | August 25, 2007Today one of my daughters has been invited to a lavish affair. The invitation read something like this—
Her Royal Highness, Princess*****
humbly requests Princess *****’s
presence at a tea party
in celebration of her birthday….
High tea shall commence promptly 11:00 a.m.
at the ****** Castle
located in the Kingdom of *****
So today I shall make this rather short and sweet to accommodate the Princess.
Another princess starts preschool on Monday, so I have some things to take care of there also.
First off, as I was looking at Blog Carnivals I found one that is just conducting a contest to win a “Mom’s Family Calendar”. Sure, that would be great to keep track of the princesses but it is also a very creative and fun way to get participation from other bloggers, so Check out
Finding Joy in the Morning
write a post mentioning the contest and you’re in!

2. 13 years of Marriage and the tanks always full.
Kelly at Pass the Torch wrote a wonderful post that seems to mirror my own life.
I’ve also been married for 13 years and I never have to put gas in the car. And for that I am grateful!
This post is a sweet reminder to appreciate your partner!

Laughing at your Fears.
What is the acronym for FEAR??
Laugh it away!!
Sometimes someone gives you a gift and it means more than they even thought it would. This week my friend Lyman from Creating a Better Life gave me such a gift when he sent me an invitation to join Shelfari. Lately I’ve really been needing to get back to doing more of what I love and more of what I enjoy and reading is right up there on my list. Thank you Lyman. I’ve completely enjoyed myself there this week!
started the
Personal Development List.
It keeps on growing and growing. The master list is on her site at
Personal Development List
so watch it as it grows!
I’ve made a promise to myself to get back into doing more and more of what I love. So that means more reading, more writing, more knitting and more “Windsprints up the Hill” behind my house (that would be exercise!
)
What I love about “Live the Power” is the writing, so you’ll be seeing more of that.
I love your comments so please tell me what you think about what you see here.
Just a reminder here….Only one week left to write your post about Unlimited Power.
I’d love to include as many as possible in the final tally!
Oops, I almost forgot the Powerful Creators, Powerful Examples from this week was very fun!!
I didn’t think anyone would guess! But Priscilla Palmer surprised me when she came up with the right answer on Thursday! Great job, Priscilla! Thanks for participating!

Annie,
It was a wonderful party! She came back with a beautiful manicure with little butterfly stickers, and they had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on pink bread (not sure how they got “pink” bread but isn’t that fun?!)
and they got their hair curled.
She had a wonderful and very “girly” good time!

I’m glad you are enjoying Shelfari as much as I am, Karen.
And I’m glad Her Royal Highness had such a great time at the party!

Oh, Lyman,
You have no idea! It is absolutely awesome!
I’m having such a great time! I was always one of those kids that had her nose stuck in a book continuously and reading has always been a pleasure for me. It keeps me closer to my bliss and my source! Thank you Lyman! It’s great!
Yes, it was a very happy day yesterday. When your kids do something really fun and you can stay in that happy vibration it makes for such a fun time!
