[...] The snow came earlier and in a larger amount this year. Last year I posted this photo on October 21. Today, October 12, we awoke to a good 5 inches and it’s still snowing, with the tiny, profuse flakes that tend to bring us an abundance of snow. It’s cold in the house this morning, just 62 degrees. The furnace is not turned on as of yet and it won’t be as the forecast calls for 70 degrees again by the end of the week.
Thank you Rick.
I have to agree, I think it is so beautiful.

We have a promise of 70 again by Wednesday, but today it was so chilly. We even turned on the furnace for the first time.
But that is Fall in the Rockies, 30 one day, 70 the next. I actually think that Denver is a little worse than we are with the changes in the temps. We are more of a desert here in Utah.

Better send him some warm clothes, he'll need them!

I'm surprised your yard isn't on a postcard, Karen. It's beautiful.

My son's outside Denver. Yesterday he called and said it was in the 70s. Today he called and said it was in the 30s and would we please send his warm clothes. :)

Debbie,
It really is breathtaking isn't it? I have often mentioned that I live in a really beautiful place and it really is....
I live in the Land of "the Greatest Snow on Earth"
That would be Utah.
I live in a suburb of Salt Lake City.

I'm envious that mountain foothills are in view of your backyard, Karen. What state do you live in?
