My Christmas Wish

By Mohammed | December 21, 2007

The Christmas cards have all been sent (insert Karen Carpenter song here) ;) No cards actually but the presents are wrapped under the tree. This year all of the family presents are wrapped in newspaper, my daughters idea for a “green” Christmas. I love it! It looks festive and beautiful and I love that she is thinking “reduce, reuse, recycle”.

The grocery shopping is done. Santa is scheduled to arrive sometime late on Monday night or early Tuesday morning. Martha is preparing the house because everyone knows that Santa doesn’t come to a messy house. I keep reminding the girls and they happily comply. That is so nice!

Christmas will be here. We are ready!

This year it promises to be a “White Christmas”. It is snowing now and the weather forecasters have predicted snow for every day up to and including Christmas Day. We’ve had more snow this year just in the month of December than for many of the past few years. It is wonderful. I am envisioning all of my favorite lakes overflowing with an abundance of water next summer, a glorious thought! Summer is just not the same here without the snow of winter, “The Greatest Snow on Earth” you know!

Today I have one wish for you (insert Karen Carpenter song again!). For you and yours to enjoy and be present in every moment of everyday. To love and laugh and revel in the Joy of Life, to remember the good things in your life and be grateful and thankful for all of the incredible life that you have.

To Love more.

To Live more.

To know Happiness.

To experience Absolute Joy.

For Experiencing Joy is the true measure of a Successful Life.

Look for the things that bring you Joy.

Merry Christmas!

Peace, Joy, Love and Blessings,
Karen

P.S. Just a favor, short and sweet and you can easily contribute to a worthy cause. Head on over to Pass the Torch, post a short comment and a contribution will be made to
St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.

    Liquid snow…brrrr…sounds cold!!!
I know around here the snow is warmer than the rain!! But we typically don’t have rain for long!

    Happy Christmas to you!!

Merry Christmas, Karen & your readers!
We don’t have snow here in Singapore… but weather’s definitely more cooling than our usual hot and humid weather.

Stay Cheery! And please send my regards to Martha!

    Cheers,
    Ellesse

You know this year I am really in a mode of appreciation for the snow…
we haven’t really had too much of it in the last few years so this month has been nice!

And of course, I love seeing the lakes full of water instead of just seeing the old water marks!

[...] Here’s a great way to participate in the spirit of giving… without spending a dime. Pass The Torch is donating $1 per comment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It’ll only take a minute of your time to comment, and you’ll feel great after doing so. Don’t worry, go ahead… I’ll still be here when you get back. Thanks to Karen for making me aware of this.
