I dont have a comment but a question. I was raised to believe that the mind was the soul. But what about the spirit of man. The bible talks about the the body and the soul in the first book of the bible. I believe that the spirit cannot become quicken come alive without the help of the soul which is the mind and the body. The spirit within man needs to return back home from where it came from heaven. Once a person dies the mind and the body did it's part to help the spirit it is no longer needed the body goes back to dust. The spirit is eternal the soul or mind isn't. It is indeed a nice subject to discuss on. But I strongly disagree with the statement that 75% of the knowledge about mind is discovered in 20th century. Vedic Philosophy from Ancient India explained the very same ideas thousands of years back. I suggest the author to read the Upanishads (the pjilosophical part of Vedas) to understand how advanced they are in Psychology and metaphysics.
