Infinite Patience
By Mohammed | March 12, 2010
In A Course in Miracles, there is this profound statement:
“Infinite patience produces immediate results”.
The true meaning of this statement is grasped when you understand the result that patience gives you. Patience gives you calmness, peace and, most importantly, belief.
Look back over the past month. How many problems have been caused by you running out of patience? How much frustration, stress, unhappiness and irritation have you experienced as a result of this. How many opportunities have you not fully realised because you loss patience.
In an age where speed is king, patience is a dying art. As a result, fewer people are experiencing inner calm and stress levels and the diseases that manifest from them, are high.
As we enter the weekend, be patient. Remember that patience does not mean that you are giving up on something or are not committed to achieving the desired result, but is a state of mind that allows you to see things clearly, peacefully and in a way that is full of belief and expectation.

You are absolutely right. So many of my problems of late have been caused by lack of patience. Had I just stuck with things even when the going got rough, who knows where I’d be right now.

IMHO, at it’s core, patience is about faith. Faith that the One who created us, cares for us and will bring blessings in good time. Impatience, at it’s core, is about believing that we run the universe, rather than just out little corner of things.
