Dandelion
By karen | May 28, 2007
There is a horse pasture in my town that is so beautiful it takes your breath away. It is filled with deep green grass and millions upon millions of bright yellow flowers scattered throughout. It is breathtaking.
The bright yellow flowers are the magic that makes the pasture so beautiful and so unique. The funny thing about it is when one of those beautiful yellow flowers shows up on someone’s lawn it is “out with the weed killer, we must eradicate those weeds”. Yes, the beautiful yellow flowers are dandelions, the misaligned and barely appreciated weed with the bright, cheery, yellow flowers. But everything has beauty in this Universe, even a weed.
The difference between a weed and a flower is a judgment.
Choose to see the beauty in all of life.

I couldn’t agree with you more! I love dandelions! I think a whole yard full of them would be beautiful.

I often look at dandelions and wonder how such a pretty little flower got such a bad rap! At least dandelions have 2 admirers.
I have been enjoying your blog… glad I found it!

I can remember playing with dandelions as a little girl. We would make grand crowns, and little bouquets. It was such fun.
