The High Vibes Game
By karen | May 31, 2007
Okay Cardin, I’m ready to play.
My friend Cardin over at Optimistlab.com has started a new game, the highvibeit game. Cardin tagged me and before I started playing Debra Moorhead and Kimberly from Uncover You Bliss Blog had also tagged me. So I’m giving back the link love. Thank you all!
First off, I write a post about 5 ways I raise my vibes. I told Cardin I would have to think about that for a while. Like everyone sometimes I get into a funk so what really and truly brings me back up to higher vibes? And an even better question for me is how can I remember these things when I really need them?
So I thought about it and of course there are some things that raise my vibrations and put me back into a happy, grateful and joyful state. In no particular order this is what I came up with.
1. Love. Yep that magical feeling you have for all of those special people in your life. Right now in my life I have 3 beautiful young girls who are all still young enough to want to hug and kiss and snuggle with their mommy. I know that they will grow out of this so I revel and I bask in the affection that I receive now. Yes it raises my vibes. It makes me happy and it brings me joy!
2. Music. Since this is not a singing blog it may surprise people that I love to sing. I love to sing my favorite songs and my favorite songs are anything I can sing with. That means just about every great song from about 1955 (yes, that was before I was born!) to present day. My ipod has everything from classic rock to heavy metal to country (which is actually my favorite-yeah, I’m a country music fan big time!) You know when you pull up to a stoplight and the crazy lady in the car next to you is singing along at the top of her lungs with the radio or the CD or whatever, that crazy lady is me! Just send a smile and some love over to that car!
3. Creativity. This would include writing (which I absolutely and completely love to do) and other things like painting, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, making art with polymer clay, doing mosaics, gardening, cooking and more. I’ll even include doodling there. Yes, the word creativity covers the gamut but it really does raise my vibes to create beautiful things and it brings me back to “Happy”.
4. Gratitude. You can never get enough gratitude. I love to do a rampage of appreciation and think of the best things about everything. Right now at this second I love my Word program. It is formatting these numbers perfectly. As I drive down the road I see the trees and the flowers and the sagebrush and when I look I can see the beauty in everything. A rampage of appreciation can brighten up your day instantly.
“What do you love about your coffee cup?”
(I really need to remember this one next time a funk comes around! Remind me!)
5. Daydream and Visualize. I am blessed with a great imagination, probably came from all of those books I devoured my whole life. But I love to imagine how I want my life to be, how I want to spend my time, and the things I want to enjoy. When I really get into it there is nothing, and I mean nothing that raises my vibes to a happier place than daydreaming and visualizing can!
And now for the fun part, the next step of the game is to find 5 wonderful posts from 5 other bloggers that you can submit to “highvibeit” and tag them so they can play also.
So I have chosen a few (five is actually a “very few”) of my favorite posts to submit.
1. Karen Shanley- “Painting the Air”. Karen wrote this post clear back in October 2006, but it is a beautiful post that I have not forgotten.
2. Pamm-My Secret Spiritual Dance-“Law of Attraction: Money and Flow”- A wonderful reflection of the energy of abundance and money.
3. Joysoriano.com-“When I asked for a Rose”. A sweet story about the abundance of God’s Love.
4. Personal Development Blog-“Celebrate your Happy Days”. A wonderful reminder to find the Joy in every day.
5. Vera Nadine-“The Calling: A Spiritual Manifesto”. Just read it. It’s beautiful!
Okay, we all have high vibes now! Go out and share them with the world!
