Life Assignment

By karen | June 16, 2007

I have a life assignment for you. It is a simple assignment. But I am forewarning you that even though it is simple it will not always be easy. Sometimes it will be downright difficult. There will be times when your own ego trappings will conspire to keep you in your previous mediocrity. If you listen to other people they may also try to trap you and keep you where you have always been. And the most difficult of all will be the unconscious beliefs and programs that will come to the surface as you follow through with the assignment that you will need to break through. But you have the strength within you to overcome any of these problems if you choose to accept the assignment and take your own life to the highest levels.

The paradox is that if you accept the assignment and follow through with an open heart and a willing spirit even as it is difficult, your life will be easier.

If you choose to accept this assignment you can expect to be able to tap into your own personal power. You can expect to truly create the life that you want, the life of your dreams.

Are you ready to call forth your Best Life?

“Go first to your Highest Thought about yourself. Imagine the You that You would be if you lived that thought everyday. Imagine what you would think, do, and say, and how you would respond to what others do and say.

Do you see any difference between that projection and what you think, do and say now?”

Excerpted from “Conversations with God”, book 1, page 77

That is your assignment. To think of the very best you and imagine what you would be like, imagine what your life would be like, imagine how you would handle every situation.

Imagine the best you in every aspect of your life, the best you physically, the best you financially, the best you intellectually, the best you spiritually, the best you in your relationships with other people, the all-around best you!

And as you go take the actions that you imagine. Become what you imagine.

Since this assignment came from “Conversations with God” you could consider it an edict from God on how to create your best life.

Or not.

Where it came from is irrelevant. Look into your own heart and your own soul. What does your own core tell you about this assignment?

Your own heart and your own soul resonate with truth. Your intuition never lies.

If you focus upon your own highest thought of yourself, that is what you will become, that is what you will create in your life.

Are you ready to accept your assignment?

Great assignment and one that so many are resistant to doing! In fact, some can’t figure out who they are at their very best - everything is a muddle.

I’ve been trying to get a friend to discover his purpose - I think that once that happens, things will fall into place for him. Since I am not a professional (!!) I’ve been suggesting a life coach or at least career counseling.

Yes, it’s simple but not easy! I feel the resistance coming up and the “how can I do that?” questions. But I know the answer is to let it go and go with the flow.
Thanks for stopping by and for your comment!

Of Fly Catchers and hidden lakes.

Of sleeping lizards and morning dew.

It is of birdsong and misty dawns

and fleeced clouds floating in a still pool.

The waters ripple awake in the gathering morn.

The first water birds head out for the far shore.

Well, this is the assignment of assignments. To decide what it is we wish to become and then be it. Sounds easy but the hard part is the deciding. I guess it is constantly changing.

[…] 2. Link to one post that describes who you are. I have so many “favorite” posts on my site so I find it difficult to choose just one. I have posts on Joy and happiness and families. I have posts on “the Law of Attraction” and spiritual laws of success. But this post has come to my attention today so I am going to take that as a sign to link it here. It’s called “Life Assignment”. Enjoy! […]

One’s first step in wisdom is to kuesteon everything - and one’s last is to come to terms with everything.
