Recycled Power- Blast from the Past
By karen | September 2, 2007
This week Rick at Shards of Consciousness tagged me in a Blast from the Past meme. The challenge is to choose 5 articles from the past and ask the question “have you changed what you say since you started blogging?”
As I look back at the first month of the Live the Power Blog, which would be Sept ‘06, I realize that at the beginning I had no clue what to say or how to say it. I definitely grew into my own voice here. By about November ‘06, I started talking. Don’t think I’ve changed too much of what I say, however, I hope that I am becoming a better writer and I have become better at expressing myself. That is the main reason I want to blog, just so I can write and have an audience. I suppose every writer has to start somewhere!
As for the 5 posts, I’m just going to choose 5 of my favorites. It’s mostly sentimental and I’m choosing for my own pleasure here.
Enjoy.
1. Just for fun! from December 22, 2006
Holiday Prep
This post reminds me of some of my favorite things, Christmas of course, and my children. (It also reminds me that I need to give Martha a call! She needs to come over right away and get to work!)
2. From January 27, 2007
The Joy and the Journey
Another reminder of some of my favorite things.
3. This next post surprised me! I was lost in the bliss of writing and the story just came out. As I really am a somewhat private person, I wondered if I should even post it. But it felt right so I did. This story is part of the magic that I have experienced in my life. It makes me grateful and it makes me realize that many of my “wildest” dreams have come true. I am blessed!
From December 20, 2006
Lessons in Visualizations.
4. I like this next post. I enjoy writing all of the posts but a few are really fun to write. This one was really fun to write.
Yes, it’s true! I really did dig up my flowers!
From August 9, 2007
Taking Score
5. The last one was a tough choice. There are many posts that I would consider my favorites. But this one inspires me. It reminds me that I want my path in this life to include following my own passion.
From March 14, 2007
No Matter What.
Okay, there are five favorites. And moving on, I shall now pass on the meme to
Aaron Potts at Today is that Day
Lyman Reed at Creating a Better Life
Priscilla Palmer at Personal Development Demands Success
And just for fun I’ll include a couple of long shots….(who knows maybe I’ll be surprised!)
Craig Harper at Motivational Speaker
Ed Mills at Evolving Times

Karen,
Thanks for sharing some of your gems from the past! When I do my “Way Back Machine” posts, it’s always fun. Even as the writers of this type of content, we can always use reminders of our own advice!
Thanks for tagging me on this cool meme, and I’ll definitely take part once I get back to posting full-time again after Personal Development Partners is up and running.

Thanks for the tag. I’ll get on that and make it my next post.
I love your stories of Martha! I wonder if I could borrow her to clean my house? Do you think she can be sent as an e-mail attachment? I could pay her a grand fee, with my imaginary million dollars.

Perhaps we could arrange something with Martha. I’ll have to think about it, she is such a great maid you know!
Not today though because she has been working really hard at my house today, she has already supercleaned 2 bathrooms, done some laundry, scrubbed an airvent (did I say she was good or what!) and now she is going to lift up the couches and vacuum underneath. I just can’t let her out of my sight today because today she is making wonderful progress on getting my house clean, clean, clean!!!
Oh, and by the way, of course Martha requires a grand fee, the work she does is really priceless!
