Be Careful What You Wish For
By karen | March 8, 2008
Just the other day I wrote a post about being a Powerful Creator. I even wrote “I am a Powerful Creator” (that was an easy sentence to come up with because it is right in front of me on my vision board that I look at everyday!). So I have been affirming, gathering evidence, becoming more and more of that everyday.
And the Universe is proving it to me.
One of the big arguments against the Law of Attraction is someone saying “well, I would never create that because I didn’t want that! How could I have done that? I never would have done that”. Well as one of the teachers in “The Secret” says “I’m here to be in your face and tell you that you did create it”.
And when you recognize that you will tap into your power.
Well I created something that I really didn’t want, Something that I never would have willingly and consciously asked for. However, I can see how I absolutely created it (okay, all of the skeptics can call this anecdote a coincidence starting…now! Of course, I tend towards believing that there are no coincidences… but to each their own.)
My email was down yesterday all day long. Some creative and ingenious pest sent me over 2500 spams and my email system crashed. Completely. First it wouldn’t receive mail, then it did receive the over 2500 pieces of junk, and then it wouldn’t send mail. Just got it completely fixed this morning. So far, so good. I want it to keep working (Yes, I want my email!).
So how did I create this? Well, I can show you the “paper trail”. I wrote this post, Green Lights and Parking Spaces, about being a Powerful creator. My good friend PTT, made a comment about how she was grateful that her hard drive and her email were back to working order after a crash and I (without consciously thinking) replied that it might be nice to be without email if you could just sit back and relax and enjoy it.
I did not mean that I wanted my email to crash. I was really just waxing wistful about the ease and joy of letting it go for awhile and enjoying something else while letting the email addiction slide for just a short time (yes, this comes from me, a woman who has often thought that the simple life of the Amish might be really nice–except for the “no books except the Bible” thing and I really love, no I mean I really, really love and appreciate indoor plumbing!)
So being the Powerful Creator that I am, what did I create?
Something I did not want at all, something I never would have asked for.
But I still say “Wow”. And I realize that I do need to be careful about what I wish for.
Because I am a Powerful Creator.
Now I just need to work on World Peace and an end to global warming…
And (this one is important) ask what can I do to create a Loving Resolution to that one perplexing problem…
and when can I go pick out the Grand Piano for my living room?

I would maybe give you premonition over creation. But I would be far more impressed with something out of the ordinary and positive.
Peace

My intent was to point out that we create it all and we are responsible for all–the bad as well as the good….
I’ve had many premonitions…good and bad…the energy was not a premonition energy.

Isn’t that amazing! I’ve been thinking of you so much lately because I’m clearly making the law of attraction work in the wrong way with myself. For a whole month I have had non-stop technical difficulties. And I can’t stop thinking that it is because every molecule of my being is caught up in the drama of it. SERIOUSLY.
I just wish I could let it all go so I could reverse the polarity around here. But I’m so dependent on it all - I can’t just drop it.
So anyway, I’ve been thinking of you. I hope it’s not my messed up magnetism that sent all those spams to you!!

You know it sounds as if you need to “let go”…
so long as you are caught up in the struggle it will continue…
It really is amazing how things turn around when you just let go of the struggle…
Good Luck!
(I am sure that you were not responsible for the spams!)

I will try - but I still need to fix two major glitches. I will really try to let go right after I get them figured out.

[…] If you’ve read The Secret, or Karen Lynch’s blog, you probably know where I’m going with this. I may have brought this onto myself. The Law of Attraction basically states that what we focus on is what happens in our life. Since I’ve used every spare atom in my body to stress about technical glitches, it’s possible I’ve turned into one gigantic cow magnet for exactly those problems. […]

Well, it’s true that you order good and bad things. I have just learnt that you cannot wish to be sick as something serious will come. Then you’ll be in trouble. You really get what you order or attract.
