Appreciation is Easy
By karen | March 20, 2008
The first Daffodils of Spring have arrived in my yard (the ones closest to the love and warmth of the house of course, but the rest will be here shortly! Along with the tulips, the Iris’s…..Spring is here, Summer on its way! Love that!)
and the Crocuses have been here for a short time already
Everyday there is something to appreciate and be grateful for.

Thank you Karen for the post. In our part of the country we are just starting to see the blooms. The Almond Orchards were a sea of White Popcorn an few weeks ago and now the Peaches and Apples are providing Color.
What a fabulous season!
Our life is dictated by the Crop seasons.
Rather do this than have a Job..Never did.
Oh well , more time with the kids when they were young and now more time to help others achieve their Dreams.

Wow, sounds cool! Almond orchards? I live in an area with an abundance of fruit trees—apples, cherrie, peaches, pears, plums etc.
those will be starting to bloom in a few weeks.
April is absolutely spectacularly beautiful around here!
I’m with you….don’t do “jobs” and my husband and I are lucky enough to spend with most of our time with our kids (”working” from home of course). We are blessed!
I will check out the talk show, sounds cool!

Ohhh those flowers just warmed my heart!
No flowers or blooms in the northeast yet — but — I have been hearing the geese flying back! Ohhhh when I hear them I yell up “Welcome Back” — and the last few days the american blackbird has been around and they are starting to call each other…
So — the sounds of spring are up here - though the temps today are about 27 — Spring is one it’s way!
Thanks for a visual spring pick me up!

Karen, daffodils really make you feel good. In addition to this, they also have a taste that turns animals off, so that while tulip bulbs may disappear because the little beasties eat them, the daffodils survive. Not only that, in time they multiply so that you can dig them up and move the new ones to new spots in your garden. Now I’d say that makes daffodils very special.
No wonder they sell them as the flower of choice to help cancer victims.
Keep up the great work here.

I know that the deer don’t eat them and I really appreciate that as I live in a place with many deer.
And they do seem to be multiplying….love that!
More have bloomed now…It’s really beautiful!
