Teachers in Life
By karen | October 25, 2006
I’ve had many teachers in my life just like everyone. But recently I have begun to think of some of the people who turned out to be teachers even though I never would have thought of them as teachers.
People like the lady who spent all of her days feeling sorry for herself, the man who could not give or accept an apology, the woman who looked for and saw the worst in everything, these are the people that I realized really were teachers in my life.
They may have taught me what I didn’t want to be but nevertheless it was a lesson. Contrast can show you what you do want in life and the contrast with these people taught me what I never want to be.
So they were teachers, every one of them. Who has been a teacher to you?

Everything we experience is teaching us something. Our job is to decode it. Each experience is unique to each individual. We may witness the exact same events but, our unique perspectives can give it different meaning.
