Children Learn what they Live

By karen | December 9, 2006

Children pick up on everything we do.  I have often been surprised at remarks my daughter makes when I realize she really was listening more than I thought. Sometimes it is an inspiration as it was when she told me she knew all about the “Law of Attraction” and then sometimes it is not so pleasant.  Such is Life.

Today I read a great post over on Dr. Hal’s North Star Mental Fitness Blog about this very subject.  As the “Luckiest Mom in the World” to 3 small children (one adult child, and stepmom to one teenager!) of course this caught my eye.  Read it here Children learn what they live

I realize that of course, not everything can always be perfect.  But I am enormously Grateful that my children are happy, healthy and for the most part well-behaved.

But my house does get cluttered!  “Martha” the imaginary maid who cleans our house just does not come often enough! But during the month of December I have some extra help.  Everyone knows that Santa does not come to a messy house, so the kids are cleaning up their messes as fast as they make them.  It is amazing.  Santa has such Clout!
