The Magic is in You
By karen | December 28, 2006
It’s that magical time of year again. It’s the time to make New Years Resolutions. January 1st is that magical start date that will make all the difference this year to succeed at positive changes in your life.
But New Years resolutions have lost all of their credibility. How many people do you know who really make and keep their New Years resolutions?
Positive changes and fulfilled goals are possible for all of us, so why do so many New Years resolutions fail? Perhaps it is because of the “appointment” mentality of January 1. A New Years resolution seems to bestow an enchanting quality upon that start date that will make all your dreams and goals come true. But it is destined to fail because it renders the power to achieve it upon something outside of you. You are the only one with the power to make things happen in your life. The magic comes not from a perfect start date but rather from you and your own mindset.
There is great value in envisioning, designing and molding your dreams and your goals. If you can see your success in your mind and feel it in your heart you will absolutely reach your goal. If you go there in the mind, you will go there in the body. All manifestations have their beginnings and their end in the creative part of you, which is your own mind.
So if you have envisioned, designed and molded your resolution and you are ready to begin then start on January 1st or even better, start today. If not, spend some time seeing yourself with your goals achieved and your dreams come true, see the new you with all the glory of your success in your own mind, envision it, design it and mold it and when you are ready to begin you will know and then make your start.
And whatever date that day happens to be it will be the magic day because you will be ready and your goals, aspirations and resolutions will happen for you.
Happy New Year! May 2007 be your best year yet!

It would be much better if we would spend the time before new years teaching about how come up with and achieve your life goals, rather than discussing resolutions that few people will hold to.
