There was a piece about a new cruise ship, that is now the largest in the world. What is amazing is that the Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas is only 4 Millimetres longer than the previous ship that held that record.

In life, the margins of success are often that small. In Sports, milliseconds separate the world’s fastest athletes. In Racing, one tenth of a second in a lap can make the difference. The margins of success are often that small and, more importantly, the winner wins because he puts just that tiniest bit more effort in.

As we enter a new week and a new month (I like to call November Yesvember!), commit to giving your best. Commit to realising how small the margins of success are. Most importantly, commit to giving your best, so that you are on the right side of the thin line between success and failure.

On another note, I just read a special report from my good friend from New Zealand, Mike Ling. In this 33 page report, Mark goes over 3 really powerful exercises that I recommend you do.

A new week brings new challenges. How would your week go if you was full of confidence and handled any problem with a can-do attitude?

Here are 5 tips to boost your confidence:

1) Make a To-Do List: One of the biggest reasons for stress and worry is poor planning and organisation. Take a few minutes to write down what you need to do this week. Keep this list with you and try to tick off as many things as you can. You may not be able to tick off everything. Don’t worry, you can always do that the following week. What you will find, however, is that you spend less time stressing and worrying and that freed-up time is very useful for getting more things done.

2) Do Something That You Have Been Putting Off: There’s always something that we have been putting under the carpet, hoping it disappears. This could be a report, a difficult phone call or an important conversation you know you need to have. By doing this, you will feel a huge weight lifted from your shoulder and a sudden increase in confidence.

3) Start Every Hour Happy: Have you noticed that when you start your day positively, things often go well. I suggest that you expand this concept. Start each hour happy with a nice piece of music, by looking at some art or just some pictures from recent vacations. We are far more productive when we are happy, so focus on being happy and see how much more you achieve.

4) Give Yourself A Treat To Look Forward To: Is there a movie you have been wanting to watch or a new restaurant you have been wanting to try? Why not make a deal with yourself that if you have a good week, you will treat yourself? By giving yourself a reward, you will make the journey through the week a much more enjoyable one.

5) At The End Of Each Day, Think of 10 Victories: Before you go to sleep, think of 10 things you did that day that you feel proud of. By doing so, you will go to sleep in a calm way and be fully charged the next morning.

These are just 5 ways towards healthy self-confidence. If this is something that you feel has been holding you back, have a look at Dr. Robert Anthony’s Self-Confidence Creator.

Wishing you all a successful week!

In the 11 Forgotten Laws Bob Proctor and Mary Morrissey discuss the second Law of the Universe, the Law of Supply.

Most people have made an agreement with lack, meaning that they always believe they do not have enough money, time, capability or influence to go after their goals. In order to succeed, we must change this to an agreement with abundance.

The world that we live in is abundant. If you ask a farmer, they will tell you that after their harvest, there is still crop left over. If you ask a miner, they will tell you that there is still plenty to mine. If you ask a scientist, they will tell you that there is enough food in this world to feed everyone. It is only our agreement with lack that is stopping us from doing this.

In order to understand and live the law of supply, a paradigm shift is required. We need to understand that there is no problem without a solution and no demand that is not supplied.

The greatest obstacle to effectively utilizing the law of supply is worry and stress. By worrying, we deplete our energy and, as a result, receive less.

Bob Proctor provides a very powerful visual image. He says that by not utilizing the law of supply, it is as if you are only receiving through a keyhole. By using the law of supply, you open the door, the windows and more and, as a result, allow much more good to come into your life.

Wilma Rudolph was the first American woman to win three Gold Medals at a single Olympic Games. She was also an active civil rights campaigner and women’s right pioneer. She was, at her time, the fastest woman in the world.

Wilma perfectly demonstrated the power of affirmation in her life. During her childhood, Wilma suffered from numerous diseases, the most significant being infantile paralysis. As a result of this, she had to wear a brace on her left leg up until the age of twelve.

Wilma says that her doctor told her that she would never walk and her mother told her that she would. She says that she affirmed with her mother.

The fact that Wilma managed to walk, then run and, ultimately, become the fastest woman in the world, was due to the power of affirmation. Wilma kept her mother’s mantra at the forefront of her mind. She positively affirmed that she would walk – over and over again. As a result, she was able to walk, despite what the medical professionals had told her.

Although our goals may not be the same as Wilma’s goal, we still face the same challenge. We are constantly surrounded by people who tell us we cannot achieve our goals or live the lifestyle that we desire. Similarly, there is always a small voice that tells us to strive for what we want and affirms that we can achieve it.

The difference between success and failure is which affirmation you listen to, believe and, ultimately, repeat over and over again. Most people choose the affirmation that tells them that life is difficult, success is difficult and, as a result, they do not live the life that they deserve.

Successful people, however, consciously hold on to a positive affirmation. They make that voice the loudest in their head. Even if they do not believe that affirmation at first, they repeat it so many times that they start to believe it. As a result, this thought attracts the people and circumstance into their life that can turn their goals into reality.

Take some time to examine the affirmations that you constantly repeat to yourself. Do they help or hinder you? If they do not help you, write down an affirmation that will. Write it down and put it in several places. This could be by your bed, in your car, on your desk or on your bathroom mirror. See this affirmation in many places so that you are reminded of it. You can also put it on your computer so that it subconsciously flashes thousands of times a day with a program like MindZoom, so that you are constantly having this new affirmation programmed into you. Start the new week with a new affirmation. This is, for many, the first step towards the life that they want to live.

He is an inspiration to millions around the world. However, his life has also involved great struggle.

Years ago, Tony Robbins was faced with a difficult decision.

He was failing in many areas of his life and, even though he had studied numerous success systems, he just did not believe that he could achieve anything in his life.

At this point, an old friend came round to see him and was shocked to see how Tony was living. He realized that Tony had great potential and was disappointed that Tony was not fulfilling it.

This meeting changed Tony’s life because it was then that Tony decided that he would take control of his life.

The key belief that Tony needed to install in himself was the fact that the past does not equal the future.

Tony knew that he was faced with a fresh opportunity to change his life. He did not need to worry about the past failures and disappointments, they were history. This is now.

As we enter a new month, heed Tony’s advice and live by the notion that the past does not equal the future.

By doing this, you will not be haunted by your past failures and everything that you do will be so much easier.

Nature has always been a good teacher and we can all learn a lesson from the bamboo tree.

During the first three years of its life, the bamboo tree only grows a couple of inches over ground, as spends its energy developing a strong root system underneath the soil.

Then, in the fourth year, after the root system has been developed, the bamboo tree shoots up to 80 feet above ground.

Life is just like this. Before we can see external success, we must first develop an inner character and mindset that will be the roots of our success.

Once this has been established, success will come so quickly and easily, as your mind, your habits and your action bring success to you from every direction.

Most people look at this the wrong way. They expect to see external growth without first establishing the correct mindset and character for this. This is the precise reason that they fail, because they have not developed the roots of their success, which is where the real effort is required.

Take some time to start nurturing your root system for success. By being patient and holding strong in the belief that as soon as you have developed the correct habits, mindset and character for success, external success will come quicker than you could possibly have imagined

We have all had one of those incidents in life where we have reached threshold.

We become clear in our mind that we want to stop smoking, lose a certain amount of weight, stop drinking or one of the many other negative habits that we succumb to.

We then wake up the next morning, motivated and passionate and stick to this resolution. We totally cut out this behaviour for a few days and then, as expected, that habit returns and we are back to our old ways.

Wayne Dyer argues that we cannot just throw bad habits out. They will soon return.

Instead, a much more effective way is to coax these bad habits out. Imagine that you are coaxing them down a stairway. Take it one step at a time.

Gradually reduce the habit because by gradually reducing the habit, you gradually reduce the hold that this habit has over you. Before you know it, you will be able to free yourself from this bad habit and all of its negative consequences.

Similarly, it is the same with positive habits. Instead of coaxing them down the stairs, coax them up the stairs. Do not go full out and expect that burst of enthusiasm to last. Instead, gradually build this positive habit into your life.

Take some time today to either coax a bad habit down the stairs or to coax a good habit up the stairs and really feel how good it is to be taking a step in the right direction.

Professor Stephen Hawking, the author of A Brief History of Time, spent 29 years of his life studying the hidden determinants of human motivation and behaviour. His Kinesthesiology studies found some truly amazing results.

The study was based upon the energy levels that
different people habitually live from.

Professor Hawking found that 87% of the human
population lives at the level of shame, guilt, weakness and negativity.

However, when Professor Hawking started studying
those who lived at a higher level, he found some fascinating insights. Instead of
a person who lived from a positive energy field simply negating someone
on a lower energy field, there was a significant counter balance that took
place.

These are the levels of existence that Professor Hawking identified:

One person who lives from a state of optimism, willingness and a decision to be non-judgemental counterbalances 90,000 who habitually live from a negative state of mind.

One person who lives from a state of pure love and reverence for all life counterbalances 750,000 who habitually live from a negative state of mind.

One person who lives from a state of illumination, bliss and infinite peace counterbalances 10 million who habitually live from a negative state of mind. Professor Hawking found that there are 22 such people alive today.

One person who lives from a state of grace and pure spirit beyond the body in complete duality and peace counterbalances 70 million who habitually live from a negative state of mind. Professor Hawking found that there are 10 such people alive today.

Finally, and most importantly, Professor Hawking wrote that 1 single avatar who can be given the title of Lord (for example Jesus, Buddha and Muhammad (PBUH)) ? counter balance all of human negativity in the world at that time and, more importantly, the negativity of the entire population will self-destruct if it was not for those today.

Professor Hawking teaches us a lesson that we cannot ignore. By living at a
higher level, the effect of the energy that you will resonate will counterbalance the
negativity of thousands of people. Will you commit to living at this level?

We have the power to control our mind, but how exactly can we control it?

There are two ways, one is popular in the West and one is popular in the East.

In the West, it is common to take as much information into a situation. By using past experience, knowledge and advice from others, we fill our mind so that we can find the answers we need.

In the East, it is common to enter a situation as freshly as possible. The term clearing your mind is essential here. Any knowledge, experience and advice has little value, as this situation is new and nothing like it has or ever will happen again. The answer comes from within and a mind full of thoughts will not allow it to surface.

To have true power of the mind, it is essential to be able to choose which approach is best for the given situation. In some cases, one is better. In other cases, the other method is better.

Take some time to try both of these methods. Which one suits you best?

If there is a situation in which you have struggled for a long time, try using the other perspective, as this will help you to find your solution easier.
