Well it?s the big day. Seems like it?s taken quite awhile for us to get to November 4th. But now the end is nearly here, just hours away.
I?ve paid attention much more this year than I ever have before. The Internet is a pretty amazing thing when it comes to things such as politics. Never before has there been such a platform to tell so many people your opinions.
And The Excitement Builds!
Yesterday we stopped by the courthouse to cast our votes early. We were planning on waiting until the big day on November 4 but decided that it might be a good idea to avoid the lines and vote early. Believe me, we have listened and learned and studied the issues more than we ever have in our lives!
Yes, this has been the most exciting election season that I have ever experienced. And I do believe that it is the most important election of our times. Even though watching the news is not something we like to participate in often, watching election coverage has become a fun pastime. Its rather amazing how the different cable channels slant the different news coming out of the campaigns. Just yesterday one of the major cable channels completely ignored a major election news story and chose instead to focus upon fashion or rather the criticism of the cost of that fashion. Yes, weve been watching them all. And any of our preconceived notions of an unbiased media have been completely shattered. Its very obvious that people gravitate towards what they believe to be the truth and that actual truth is a just something we all create in our own reality.

It may be a book lovers dream!
Since I started writing here I have made no secret of my love of books and reading. From the 1500+ books (yes, it?s grown lately!) in my basement to the 20 to 30 books that I always have checked out at the library, it is a fact that I love books. Love, love, love books!
So when the Amazon Kindle came out I wondered how it would compare. I mean, you can?t turn pages and it doesn?t smell like a real book but think about this?.you can download ebooks from your computer and snuggle down under the covers in your bed to read them rather than sitting at your computer. And snuggling down under the covers in the winter or spreading out on a hammock in the summer to read a book is much better than sitting at any computer! Even a laptop is too big to make comfort with.
